· Our next breakfast is due to be held in the church hall on Saturday 9^th May between 8.00am and 9.00am. Continuing our theme of asking regular attendees to speak to us, our speaker this time is Bill Edwards. Please come and support Bill and have an enjoyable start to the weekend. You will be given breakfast (including our famous porridge if you would like to try it!), followed by a time of sharing joys and concerns then we have our talk and we finish with prayers and a resounding hymn. DO COME AND JOIN US – all men – young, old and in between – very welcome.

NEVA CHILDREN’S CHARITY. We have just returned from a very successful but very tiring trip to the children’s hospital in St Petersburg. We managed to completely refurbish 2 wards and a bathroom at the hospital. New windows and doors along with a new bath, toilet and sinks were installed. The electrics were replaced and new vinyl laid. The final touches being new beds and furniture for the wards. The staff were delighted with the improvements and the children have now moved back into the wards. Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip a success. We were overwhelmed by the support we received both financially and by the prayer support we received. We were very much aware that so many people at home were praying for us and it really made such a difference. Thank you all so very much. God Bless you all.

· That the risen Christ meets with His disciples, establishing His resurrection

· That the risen Christ eats with His disciples, establishing His bodily resurrection

· That the risen Christ commissions His disciples to be His witnesses in the world, establishing a Kingdom community

PLEASE PRAY FOR…

· All those elected to office at the APCM, especially the wardens and deputy wardens: Keith Caulkin, Peter Jennins, Ruth Scott and Hilary Morgan

· Pathfinders and CYFA beginning again this evening, for Pauline Addy in her co-ordinating role and for those who help lead this important Sunday ministry to young people

· The All Saints’ Pre-School Playgroup, giving thanks for Wendy Mason and all the playgroup staff, and for the wonderful growth in size and scope of the playgroup over this past eighteen months

· The Development Area of the PCC as they continue to shape plans and possibilities for the renewal of our site and buildings, and especially for Bill Addy in his important role in the group before he begins his ordination training in September

· The Small Groups beginning again this week, praying for the up-building of God’s people through prayer, the study of God’s Word, fellowship, ministry and outreach

· BB YHA WALKING WEEKEND 25 – 26 April: Grasmere Cumbria, Pray for safety in travel & on mountains Fun & fellowship and for Christ’s kingdom to be extended among boys

· The Readers and their meeting with Gary and Scott on Thursday, giving thanks for their patient and faithful ministry in this place and beyond

· The people and leadership of India and South Africa as important elections take place regarding political leadership and thus direction

· The ministry and mission of TearFund, giving thanks for its many works of mercy and evangelism in the name of Jesus Christ

All are welcome to come along to the Bookworms meetings in the Childwall Abbey Hotel. On Monday May 18th we will be discussing ‘The shadow of the wind’ by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and on July 27th we hope to look at the Liverpool reads book for 2009.
