strawberryGary and Karen would like to issue an open invitation to join them for tea in the Vicarage gardens on June 27th from 2-4pm. There will be plenty of room and activities for children, but they’d be glad of offers of extra fold-up garden chairs and gazebos, please.

They can guarantee the scones and strawberries; they’ll do their very best about the sun!

Offers of help to serve to Karen please 737 2169. If you need a lift please contact Joan McClelland 722 3737 or pastoral@allsaintschildwall.org.uk

PLEASE PRAY (31 MAY ’09)

PRAISE GOD:

· That you gave us the light of your Holy Spirit

· That you gave us the comfort of your Holy Spirit

· That you gave us the unity of your Holy Spirit

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

· Our community here at All Saints as we join together in worship this morning to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit bestowed upon us at Pentecost.

· Children, teachers and families as they return   after the half-term break, remembering especially those students who are revising for public exams

· Wendy Taylor and her team as they lead the children’s activities this morning in the Church Hall, that they will be lead by the life giving Holy Spirit

· Sue and Jon Farmer and all their team as they prepare for Messy Pentecost on Saturday. May the power of the Pentecost Spirit be ever with them as they share the joy of messy church with the youngsters and their families

· Peter, Neil and Peter as they print and collate this notice sheet each week. We thank God for their  faithful service in communicating to us all in this way

· Our new website, praying especially that it will be a relevant, effective and contemporary way of  sharing the Good News of what God has done in Jesus Christ

· The Alpha Course and those who are taking part in it, as the course recommences this week and asking that the Alpha Day on June 13th will provide a particular opportunity to respond to Jesus Christ in faith and commitment

· The people and government of Sri Lanka following the recent fierce fighting between government forces and the Tamil Tigers, asking that a long term, just and peaceful solution to both the causes and effect of this conflict might be found

· The work and witness of Christian summer camps and adventure holidays for children and young people, praying for all those planning and preparing to lead such camps in the summer

· The sick and those undergoing medical procedures,

·  All who grieve the loss of a loved one or remember the anniversary of a death at this time
