PLEASE PRAY (6 SEP ’09)

PRAISE GOD:
• That His Love endures for ever
• That He sent His Son to die for our sins out of Love for the world
• That His Love is made known in us and through us by the Holy Spirit
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
• The work and ministry of ‘Care for the Family’, giving thanks for their concern for Biblical principles of family and community to be brought to be upon issues of community life and human relationships and praying for our engagement with all that ‘Care for the Family’ can offer in support of our mission and ministry as a church
• Wendy Taylor and her team as they prepare for the
re‐commencement of ‘Rock Club’ next Sunday and for all the leaders and members of our Uniformed Organisations
as they begin to meet together once more
• Our Pre‐ School Playgroup, Pram Club and Storytime as they begin for the new school year, giving thanks for our
ministry and mission to children, parents and families
• The Mothers’ Union meeting on Tuesday and for Gary as he speaks on ‘The Cost of Relationships’, as relationships
are the theme of the MU for this year
• The meeting of the Standing Committee on Monday and the Development Area of the PCC on Thursday, praying for
wisdom, leadership and insight in all that will be brought from these meetings to the full PCC later in the month
• Gary as he travels to London on Friday for a meeting of the Candidates Panel at Church House, Westminster, a
national panel that looks at difficult or unusual candidates for ordination and training which Gary has been invited to
join as a result of his experience and work as an Advisor
• Bishop David as he and Sally begin formally to say farewell to the diocese at a series of events over this next
month and for Richard Blackburn, currently Archdeacon of Sheffield, who will be consecrated as the next Bishop of
Warrington later in the year
• The Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, giving thanks for this time of fellowship, prayer and learning together
• The people and leadership in Libya at this time of heightened profile and the effect that relationships between Britain and Libya over matters of huge and yet sensitive significance might have on relationships with neighbouring countries and other geo‐political constituencies
• The sick and those undergoing medical procedures.
• All who grieve the loss of a loved one or remember the
anniversary of a death at this time.

COLLECT FOR THE THIRTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY
Almighty God,
you search us and know us:
may we rely on you in strength
and rest on you in weakness,
now and in all our days;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
