- That He invites us to call Him ‘Abba’, ‘Father’
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- Our CYFA members and leaders at the Connect Weekend (26th to 28th February), that much may have been learnt and experienced of God’s love brought near in Jesus Christ
- Pam and Chris Mitchell as they fly out to St Petersburg, that God will bless and encourage them in their work and for the completion of all they hope to achieve

- The people and government of Haiti as they continue to attend to the complex and multi-faceted issues of rebuilding following the recent earthquake, and for the many agencies involved in offering care and compassion, especially Tearfund
- The mission and ministry of all Christian musicians, composers and performers, giving thanks for all that they contribute to enable worship that is both enlivened and meaningful
- The sick and those undergoing medical procedures.

Collect for second Sunday of Lent
Almighty God,
by the prayer and discipline of Lent
may we enter into the mystery of Christ’s sufferings,
and by following in his Way
come to share in his glory;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
This months contemporary worship will be led by the new young adults small group. Bridging the gap between University and real adult life, the young adult small group meets together every Sunday morning at 9am for breakfast and bible study. As an ever growing group we are committed to supporting each other as we face new and bigger stages of our lives….e.g having careers and thinking about getting married, and also how we can contribute to church family life here in Childwall. At this service we will study together the Holy Spirit our great counsellor. Please come along to share in this first ministry as a group, and to meet some newer members of our church family.

Fairtrade Fortnight 22nd Feb – 7th March
The theme of this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight is the Big Swap and the aim is to encourage people to start brewing up with Fairtrade tea – at church, at work, at home – everywhere! Fairtrade guarantees tea producers a minimum price for their tea and enables them to earn a living wage and invest in the development of their communities.
The next Fairtrade stall will be at 10am on Sunday 21st February to kick off Fairtrade Fortnight. Please come and support it and see if you can think of a new place to pass on Fairtrade frivolity!
Thank you.
