PRAISE GOD:
- That He is a generous God
- That He is a gracious God
- That in Jesus He calls into being a gracious and generous people
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- All those from our fellowship at Cloverly Hall on the Church Weekend Away, that all of us at All Saints’ will be blessed by what is learnt and experienced about prayer and discipleship over the weekend
- Fathers on this Father’s Day to take seriously their responsibilities for the nurture and guidance of their children, and especially that Christian fathers would seek to model whole life discipleship positively before their children
- Families without an adequate father figure and for all those who have been injured or affected by a poor experience of being fathered, that God our Heavenly Father would bring healing, example and peace
- Fathers who feel that they have failed their children and families, that they would know the blessings and relief of true repentance and restoration
- The work of Care for the Family, and especially their encouragement of men and fathers
- The PCC meeting on Monday, especially as final decisions are made regarding the submission of a planning application for our site and buildings and as the assembling of an appropriate funding campaign begins to take shape
- Those who minister to children and young people at All Saints’, giving thanks for each one and praying for them in their vital task of witness
- The Summer Tea at the Vicarage on Saturday, praying that many of all ages will come and enjoy a time of fellowship together
- The people and government of Kyrgyzstan following the recent ethnic clashes between ethnic Kyrgyz and Uzbek groups in the south of the country, and for those medical and relief agencies now working in the region, that peace, democracy and justice might be restored
- The ministry and mission of Christian bookshops in these challenging times economically, especially for Cuan and the staff of Southport Christian Bookshop, who supply our own bookstall in church, and Garry and Barbara Critchley who oversee it for us
- The sick and those undergoing medical procedures .
- All who grieve or who remember the anniversary of a death at this time.
Collect for Third Sunday after Trinity
God our saviour,
look on this wounded world in pity and in power;
hold us fast to your promises of peace
won for us by your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
