PRAISE GOD:

  • That He calls us into an eternal relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ
  • That He calls us to witness to His redeeming work in  Jesus, that others might come to a saving faith
  • That He calls us to witness in the face of persecution and hardship, and not to count the cost


PLEASE PRAY FOR:

  • Becca Philips as she today begins to serve as assistant curate here, that she might know the strengthening and empowering of the Holy Spirit as she adjusts to her new role, life and ministry
  • Scott Davies, and Jen and Isabel, as Scott prepares to be licensed this month for his new ministry in Carr Mill, praying that God will bless him and those whom he serves.
  • The combined Governors and Trustees meeting of Childwall CE School on Monday, especially for Gary as he Chairs that meeting, and for all the teachers and staff in their ongoing work and mission at the school
  • The Messy Church Meeting on Monday, giving thanks for the opportunity to both review what has been done and also plan for the future, blessing God for all that Messy Church is and can be
  • The Standing Committee of the PCC meeting on  Wednesday, praying for wisdom and discernment for the Standing Committee as they help to shape and prepare for the next PCC
  • The Pre-School Playgroup Coffee Morning on Thursday, giving thanks for all those who lead and help at the Playgroup and also giving thanks for the continued growth and strength of Playgroup
  • The meeting of the Readers with Gary and Becca at the Vicarage on Thursday, that God will continue to guide, hone and bless all those who preach, teach and lead worship at All Saints’
  • The leaders of the G20 countries in the light of their meetings and discussions about economic, political and national agendas, remembering also the leaders of the poorest countries in the world and praying for their voices to be heard at the conference tables of the rich
  • The ministry and mission of prison chaplains and prison visitors, praying for them in both their evangelistic and pastoral ministry, and also giving thanks to God for the success of Alpha courses in prisons in bringing many to faith in Jesus
  • The sick and those undergoing medical procedures.
  • All who grieve or who remember the anniversary of a death at this time.

Almighty God,
send down upon your Church
the riches of your Spirit,
and kindle in all who minister the gospel
your countless gifts of grace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
