All Saints Church, ChildwallAll Saints Church Childwall

hands-raisedWe believe in collaborative leadership and empowering those with God given gifts and talents to minister in specific areas to do so. To achieve this aim, we have a standing committee comprised of the vicar, two elected wardens, treasurer and the PCC secretary. Our PCC is organised into 10 area’s each led by dedicated, God centred individuals who support our main leadership team and help shape this church for mission. The area groups are;

  • Children
  • Development
  • Evangelism
  • Fabric
  • Pastoral
  • Publicity
  • Small Groups
  • World Mission
  • Worship
  • Youth

The stated aims of these Area Groups are listed below:

Children – to oversee, encourage and integrate all aspects of our work with children (both mid-week and Sunday), so that children are enabled to encounter and express the love of Christ appropriately in the context of the whole life of the whole people of God.

Development – to consider how our present physical resources might be reconfigured, renewed or developed in the light of our call to make Christ known in this generation, so that our calling and purpose might be best served by appropriate physical resources available for mission and ministry.

Evangelism – to promote and champion evangelistic opportunities and programmes at All Saints, including opportunities for impacting the community for good with respect to social justice and transformation, so that the gospel is preached, prayed and personally modelled in all elements of our life and worship.

Fabric – to take responsibility for the good stewardship, maintenance and care of our physical resources, including ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and legislation, so that our buildings and grounds function to best effect serving and supporting our wider values and vision for ministry and mission.

Pastoral – to promote and model the principles and values of Christian hospitality, community and care by enabling individual support, engaging with wider pastoral agendas and by equipping God’s people for works of service and care, so that the agape love of Christ is a living reality in the life of this expression of His Body.

Publicity – to enable effective communication within the church community, and to the wider community in Childwall and beyond, by making best use of all available media and by the development of a uniform identity and style, one that straddles all activities, groups and events, so that the gospel is promoted clearly and consistently in all that we do and say.

Small Groups – to oversee and review the development, growth and resourcing of Small Groups at All Saints, especially with respect to integrating welcome, nurture, study, discipleship and evangelism in each group, so that Small Groups become a key component in our model of church.

World Mission – to promote and encourage engagement with the work of mission both at home and oversee, including discerning which societies and bodies to support prayerfully and financially in any given period, and by what criteria, so that our partnership in the Gospel with those across the globe is understood, celebrated and prized.

Youth – to oversee , coordinate and develop work amongst young people, both mid-week and Sunday and especially consider how best to engage with youth from a non-church background, so that young people are enabled to encounter and express the love of Christ appropriately in the context of the whole life of the people of God.
