LIVERPOOL YFC WISH TOKENS

REQUEST FROM LIVERPOOL YOUTH FOR CHRIST, one of our mission partners, for their football cage project.

LYFC, along with 350 other charities, is on the Liverpool Echo wish list to receive part of a £55,000 cash pot. How much they receive will depend on how many “Wish 2010 tokens” they collect. Tokens are being printed in the Liverpool Echo from Monday 15th February until Friday 9th April 2010. If you are willing to donate tokens to this cause please give them to Malcolm Colmer or place them in an  envelope, clearly marked “LYFC”, at the back of church. Many thanks.

GENTS WALKING/RUNNING

Gentlemen,  are you interested in a men’s running group? Some interest has been shown so if this includes you contact Jon Bird or Steve Brie for detail or email info@allsaintschildwall.org.uk

LADIES WALKING/RUNNING

The Liverpool Women’s 10k/5k is on May 9th this year – And approaching fast!!! Do you want to be part of a group taking part from All Saints?

You can enter either the 10k or 5k and be part of the same event as they start at the same time.

Everyone runs or walks at their own pace and we meet beforehand to get excited (and a just little bit nervous!) and afterwards to celebrate our achievement (we did it!) and share a picnic with all our supporters. We also have our own All Saints ladies t-shirt. If you are interested or have any questions please speak to Karen Renison, Naida Thompson or Ruth Scott.  If you want to enter see the website

www.runliverpool.org.uk/Womens_10K.php

or ask Ruth for the Entry form.

Ladies Running/Walking Group (NOT JUST FOR 10K/5K TRAINING)The Ladies running/walking group still meets at the Church Hall on Monday at 7.30pm and Wednesday at 7pm.  These sessions are not just for training for the 10k/5k and suit all ages and abilities, so if you want to ‘walk and talk’ or ‘run for fun’why not come down and join us?

We’re very friendly, all you need is enthusiasm!

Collect for second Sunday of Lent

Almighty God,
by the prayer and discipline of Lent
may we enter into the mystery of Christ’s sufferings,
and by following in his Way
come to share in his glory;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
