All Saints Church Childwall

In the run up to Christmas we are having a working party in Church next Saturday morning, 12th November, from 9.30am till 12.30am. This is to clean those less obvious and difficult to get at places (e.g. chandeliers and tops of cupboards etc) which our loyal band of regular church cleaners are unable to access. If you can come for part of the time only that would be great as ‘many hands make light work!’.Refreshments and cleaning materials etc provided. The student Development and Wellbeing Team at Liverpool Hope are sending out a plea to our local community to ask if there is anyone who would be willing to accommodate one of our International Students either at short notice, for a short time while we find longer term accommodation. Rent will be paid on whatever basis support is offered.

Harvest Celebration 9 October -  we celebrate the Feast of Harvest by bringing gifts to church as thank offerings to the Lord for the abundance of food with which we are blessed. We will then distribute them as tokens of our love for our neighbours. Those in other parts of the City will receive them through Foodbank and other charities. We will take individual gifts to those in this area who are ill or confined to their homes.

We would be grateful for offers of help to collate gifts in church from 7.45pm and to collect them for  distribution from 8.30pm on Sunday October 9^th or on Monday 10^th at 9am.  If you are able to please contact Margaret Thwaite on 727 3334

‘HERITAGE WEEKEND – 17th and 18th September

Your help is requested!!!

Could we ask for your help for the following:-

1. Volunteers to act as guides:- Rotas at back of Church. No detailed knowledge needed, just a happy, welcoming face!! Badges provided but you are asked to dress smartly!

2. Volunteers to help with refreshments in the hall on both Saturday and Sunday. Again, rotas are at the back of Church. Please put your names down for the times you may be able to help.

Old photos – we have plenty of old photos of the buildings, but we would like more old photos with PEOPLE on them!! If you have any and are able to let us use them, please see GRAHAM DEACON’ or email: heritage@allsaintschildwall.org.uk

Could you offer your talents? Please reflect and pray to discern if there is any way you could use your talents to help with the building development. It would be great to be able to involve as many people as possible! Further details of how to get involved will be published in September.
