Ellie will be spending a day a week in Childwall CE Primary School serving and supporting the school on behalf of us as a Church. She will be assisting with the collective worship and more importantly getting alongside the year 5 and 6 children. She will also be leading some activities to help the year 6 children think about their move to secondary school and inviting them to a special Sunday night Pathfinder session. Ellie will also join in with the older children in Rock club. It is fantastic that Scripture Union and Childwall Church are working together to support and serve our school and young people.

We are currently exploring a 3 year placement with Nazarene College which would see someone placed through Scripture Union with our church and the Enterprise South Liverpool Academy for a few hours each week from September 2012. If you feel you could host a student for 3 nights a week this would be very helpful and move this possibility into a reality. I have always felt such warmth and love every time I have visited the church or attended any church events. I am so grateful, and for the time being I have made a full recovery and am cancer free, I pray that I will   continue to be. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart.  Nikki Bowler

The Promise Auction was a great success and  enjoyed by all.  £2,464 was raised on the night and Barclaycard will match £1,500 of the money raised. This means that the grand total going towards Open for All is £3,964. Our thanks go to Naida and Sue for all their work organising the event, Gary for his auctioneering skills and all those who offered their talents. :-)

The second hand book sale raised £370. Congratulations and our thanks go to Diane and her team. :-)

  • A good response from our community to the Christian Aid envelopes, and for Malcolm Baines as he leads this initiative for us.
  • The Archdeacon of Liverpool who will lead the Visitation this evening, and for the faithful witness and service of all sidespersons and wardens, especially those here at All Saints
  • The young people and leaders of our Uniformed Organisations, thanking God for their life and vitality
  • The people of France and Greece following the recent elections in their countries, that the newly elected governments of both countries will be wise and fair in the current economic turmoil
  • The ministry and mission of the people of Christchurch Netherley as we work together to bring the good news of Jesus to South Liverpool
  • Those who are sick, anxious or undergoing medical procedures at this time.
  • Those who are bereaved, or who remember the anniversary of a bereavement at this time
