Introduction
The World Mission Area Group encourages and co-ordinates All Saints support for 8 mission partners working overseas, nationally and locally. These are Crosslinks (Tanzania), New Tribes Mission (Papua New Guinea), The Bible Society, Church Pastoral Aid Society, Liverpool Youth for Christ, the Scripture Union Schools worker on Merseyside, an inner city Liverpool church and Tear Fund.
The Group stimulates interest in mission by:
- Presenting each year to the PCC a suggested allocation of the church tithe
- Arranging specific World Mission Sundays and other related events
- Once a year supporting Christian Aid week, Operation Christmas Child, the Children’s Society (Christingle service), Slum Survivor and individual church members helping with beach missions and summer camps.
- Publishing three times a year a World Mission Newsheet which gives news of our mission partners and their prayer needs
- Encouraging small groups to have a link with our mission partners
- Supporting and encouraging individuals going on short-term assignments with Christian organisations
- Promoting Fairtrade (All Saints is a registered Fairtrade church). Fairtrade and Tearcraft goods are sold on a regular basis
The Link Fellowship is a group that meets on the 1st Monday of each month to pray for our mission partners (time and venue is printed in the weekly bulletin)
