Did you know that £493 million were spent on Fairtrade products in the UK in 2007?
So What? This means that over 1.5 million producers and workers in 59 developing countries now benefit from Fairtrade sales. In this way, money from more affluent countries reaches the producers and workers of developing countries who are disadvantaged by the conventional trading system.

The effect. By buying Fairtrade products and demonstrating that international trade CAN be based on justice and fairness, you are helping to improve the lives of people in desperate poverty and assist them to live with dignity.
Fairtrade & You. You can now buy many Fairtrade products on the high street and the more you ask for them, the more likely it is that they will be there.
Fairtrade@All Saints. All Saints is already a Fairtrade church and all the tea and coffee used by us has the Fairtrade Mark. We are also planning to make Fairtrade products available through regular stalls in the church so please support these and let us have your ideas about how to make these stalls serve you needs better. Any helpers or enthusiasts who would like to get involved in running these stalls can contact us on fairtrade@allsaintschildwall.org.uk. Your prayers for the development of this work within the community would be much appreciated. Thank you.
All Saints Pathfinders & Fairtrade. The leaders of the All Saints Pathfinders group asked the young members what they knew about Fairtrade, what it was and what it meant to them and to the trades people who produce the products all over the world. We found that they had a good knowledge of Fairtrade and were empathetic towards the topic. We put the children into groups to have further discussion. They were asked what their favourite foods were and who were involved in the growing of the items. The children enjoyed the discussion and made a commitment to do what they could to eat Fairtrade products and to encourage their parents to be aware of Fairtrade goods.
Fairtrade Tuck Shop. Pathfinders have a tuck shop at their meetings selling sweets, chocolate, cola etc. It was discussed with the children that Pathfinders wanted to have a Fairtrade Tuck Shop. They agreed to give it a try. Chocolate products and juice were introduced to see their reaction. Almost all of them seemed to enjoy these items. So over the next few months, we will introduce more Fairtrade goods to our Tuck Shop. Well done All Saints Pathfinders for your initiative!!
