Rockclub, Pathfinders and CYFA all begin again next week, January 15th – new children and young people most welcome!
On Sunday 8th January at both the 9am and 6.30pm services we will be including the Covenant Service responses. These are a tremendous vehicle for re-committing ourselves afresh to serve God joyfully and obediently over the coming year.

Please pray… 8th January 2012
PRAISE GOD:
- That He sent a star to lead the Magi to Christ
- That He calls both Jew and Gentile to worship the infant Jesus
- That He invites high born and low born equally to adore the Saviour
PLEASE PRAY FOR:
- Our prayerful and careful reflection on how we personally will respond to the ‘Open for All’ initiative, with its exclusive focus at this stage on the re-development of the Church Hall into the new All Saints’ Centre
- Becca as she preaches and presides at Christ Church, Netherley this morning, praying also for the life and witness of that small but faithful Christian community
- All those in our Uniformed Organisations, especially remembering all those associated with the Boys Brigade, past and present, who will mourn Andrew Sefton’s passing
- The deanery clergy (chapter) meeting on Wednesday continuing to pray for positive working relationships between local churches to grow and develop
- The Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, thanking God for this opportunity for men to come together for fellowship, teaching and prayer
- Re:View beginning on Wednesday 18th January, that many would want to understand more about what it means to put faith into practice and live as a Christian in the world
- The people and government of Syria as they continue the journey towards greater democracy and accountability in their national life and institutions
- The ministry and mission of university and college chaplaincies and Christian Union’s as new term’s begin, praying especially for the mission and ministry of the Christian groups at Liverpool Hope University
- Those who are sick, anxious or undergoing medical procedures at this time.
- Those who are bereaved, or who remember the anniversary of a bereavement at this time.
Collect for Epiphany
Creator of the heavens,
who led the Magi by a star
to worship the Christ-child:
guide and sustain us,
that we may find our journey’s end
in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
