- If you have a small amount of shopping to do and the shop is less than a mile away consider walking instead of jumping straight into the car.
- Check out the City Council Gillmoss and Old Swan recycling centres. They take all sorts of stuff including printer ink cartridges, light bulbs and tubes, old mobile phones, Tetrapaks and old tools.
- Think ahead. When you’re doing your Christmas shopping try to avoid cards and wrappings which have glitter, foil, a plasticised surface or ribbon. They can’t be easily recycled.
