Hi everyone,

I really need your help to prepare for my next sermon, and I love a bit of audience participation! It would be brilliant if you could give me a hand by doing some artwork. Your task is to create a unique fish design using the template on the next page. Here are the instructions:

  1. Print the template on to A4 paper. It is important that all the fish are the same shape and size, so please use the template. If you do not have a printer, send me an email, curate.allsaintschildwall@gmail.com, and I will do my best to a copy to you.
  1. Create a unique design on your template. The fish is supposed to represent you, so use your favourite colours, shapes and patterns. You can use any materials that you like for this step.
  1. Put your name on the back of your fish.
  1. Take a photograph or scan your design and email it to me. Alternatively, you could deliver it to the Curate’s House, 80 Green Lane North. Feel free to knock and say hello, or just pop it through the letterbox. I am also happy to collect from those who are shielding. I promise to keep my distance! Use my email, above, to get in touch.
  1. Please ensure that your fish reach me by Wednesday the 29th of July to be included in the Service on Sunday the 2nd of August.

The fish are based on the work of the author Linda Kranz. If you need some inspiration, you can look at her book ‘You be You’ on YouTube. It is one of my favourites!

You can also visit her website for inspiration.

This is not just an activity for children. It would be lovely to have fish to represent as many of the congregation as possible. I look forward to seeing the results.

Happy creating
