Sunday 20th November – 9.15am Service of the Word 11am Holy Communion
6pm Evening service in the church with Baptism, followed by tea & coffee. All the
confirmation candidates will be at this service as two of them are being baptised, Hollie
Frost and Wayne Senior. Please come to this service to support and encourage them.
Monday 21st November – 7.30pm Confirmation service at the Cathedral, no tickets are
needed for this service.
Thursday 24th November – 10.45am Holy Communion
Sunday 27th November – 9.15am Holy Communion Service 11am Baptism service
12.30pm Baptism Service 6pm – Evening worship in the church hall.

Adult Confirmation Service at the Cathedral on Monday 21st November 2022 at 7pm
No tickets are necessary for this service please come and support our 10 adults from All Saints who will
be confirmed this year. Please pray for them regularly as we meet each week at Calisa for our
confirmation classes. Their names are:

Wayne Senior, Frank Thyer, Gary Vyse, Stephanie Webb and Catie Wells

Building work in the church hall
The new kitchen is nearly finished. The new floor is all down, the tiling is all finished and grouted,
the new gas water boiler is fitted, along with the new lighting. The new sinks are all plumbed in and working. Hopefully the new kitchen will be available to be used from the end of next week.

VESTRY HOUR – every Tuesday in Church from 7pm – 8pm
To book a Baptism or a Wedding or speak to a member of the clergy, please come to Vestry Hour which is held in the church every Tuesday, no appointment is necessary. Please use the wooden door to the left of the tower. You do not need to knock; just come in, take a seat and you will be seen privately in turn.

Open Day on Saturday 19th November from 10am – 2pm. Entrance off Score Lane
Come along and see what is happening and get involved in planting, composting and Beekeeping. Opportunity to sign up and be a regular volunteer. Learn to become a Beekeeper.
As well as seasonal classics, the concert will also include a host of special guests, carols, and readings that celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

For most of us, Advent is synonymous with Christmas. After all, don’t our Advent calendars countdown to December 25th? Isn’t Advent a time to think about the birth of the baby in the manger, the angels and the shepherd? It certainly is.
Advent means the coming of the special baby who was laid in a manger in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago. But J.C. Ryle would also remind people of the ‘Second Advent’ when Jesus will come again. On that day, Jesus will return to our world, not as a baby but as the unmistakable King of kings and Lord of lords.
J.C. Ryle was the 1st Bishop of Liverpool and along with his wife is buried in the churchyard of All Saints Childwall.

The Childwall Community Choir will be singing during the evening
7pm – Turning on of the Community Christmas Tree on the Church Hall roof.
