After our 11am morning service we will be coming together in our Church hall to share lunch and say farewell to Helen our Curate. All welcome. Lent starts on Ash Wednesday 22nd February What are you going to do during this time of Lent? LENT BOOK – Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent as our thoughts turn towards Easter. “From Glory to Glory” is a series of 54 meditations on John 13-21 and covers the Easter Story from the Upper Room to Jesus’ post resurrection appearances and meeting His disciples on Lake Galilee. This book should be £4.99 but we have them available for only £1.50 Mother’s Union – Tuesday 14th February at 2pm in the Church hall. Our invited speaker is coming in May as it is half term. So please come with your favourite hymn in mind to share and sing (together!) and the reason why. May it be a wonderful time of praise. Friends and visitors are welcome. Sue Watterson Tel: 07707901279 CHURCH OPENING Following the successful Heritage Open Day events of the last few years the PCC has agreed that the Church should be open for visitors on Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm from June to September. To enable this to happen we need 2 volunteers to welcome people each week. If you would like to be involved in this ministry please put your name on the list at the back of church. People who are Prayer Partners are matched up with, and pray for a particular key person or ministry or organisation. This is so that all areas in our church are covered in prayer both through the church prayer diary and each prayer partner. Enquiries are welcome. Pew Bags – Thank You Thanks to all who have helped to prepare the pew Bags by sewing, knitting or printing. They have been very well received. If you would be willing to replenish the bags after either of the morning services please speak to me or ring me on 07542565534.
