We thank God for the way that he has prompted all of us to respond in this way. We look forward with excitement to the future. Please now pray that God will lead the right person to respond to his call and join us at All Saints Childwall.
If you have any further questions or would like to talk about this opportunity please contact me. Thank you, Andrew Christians Against Poverty – CAP
CAP is one of All Saints World Mission Partners. Following last Sunday’s talk by Rev Lyn Weston just to highlight the incredible work undertaken by the four CAP centres & 100’s of churches offering a lifeline to those trapped in debt. Since 1996 CAP has helped tens of thousands of individuals and families. It was started by John Kirkby who believed God was calling him to sacrifice his career in finance to help those struggling with debt. Using his expertise, he negotiated with creditors, set up budgeting systems so offering a lifeline to those trapped in poverty. Today with the impact of the cost of living crisis CAP knows that there is much more to be done. Jesus met people’s needs with love, compassion and practical help. CAPs desire is simply to do the same. CAPs vision is to see transformed lives, thriving churches and an end to U.K. poverty. How to make a difference: log on to www.capuk.org/get-involved.

    TEA@2
Our monthly TEA@2 next takes place on Wednesday 20th September in the Church Hall from 2.00 – 4.00pm. As usual there will be a bottomless teapot, lots of delicious home-made cakes, chat with friends old and new and quizzes to do if you want. The difference this month is that we will be raising money for the Cancer Research charity. There will be no charge for tea and all donations will go to the charity. There will be a ‘pink’ theme. If you’d like to wear something appropriate that would be great but if you’re not a pink sort of person don’t worry about it! Why don’t you come along and bring friends and neighbours to support a very good cause.
