Childwall Abbey School – thank you!
An enormous thank you to all of you that bought items from the
Christmas crafts stall that Childwall Abbey School held at the Tree lighting.
Their 6th form students had been working very hard in preparation and are all
delighted that they sold £290 worth of gifts on that evening.
It is the most that they have sold at any stall that they have held.
VESTRY HOUR every Tuesday from 7pm in church – restarts in New Year!
To book a Baptism or a Wedding or speak to a member of the clergy, please come to
Vestry Hour which is held in the church every Tuesday, no appointment is necessary.

Vestry hour restarts on Tuesday 9th January 2024 at 7pm
Pebbles, Rock Club & Boulders
Our children’s work on a Sunday morning has stopped now for Christmas.
The groups will resume on Sunday 21st January 2024
A massive thank you to all our children’s leaders who have taught our children
faithfully over this last year, please pray for them regularly.
Gas & Electricity – new fixed contract for church and hall
We have been insulated from large rises over the last 2 years but our fixed contract
finishes on 19th December. As a PCC we have agreed a new fixed contract for our
gas & electricity. The additional total cost per year will £7552 more than we are
currently paying. This is a significant increase and we do not want this to have a
negative impact on the current ministry of All Saints Childwall.
All members of the PCC that met on Monday night agreed that they would give an additional
amount of £50. If 150 individuals or families joined us in this initiative, we would cover the
cost of the new contract. Please prayerfully consider if you can join us and give an additional
amount by the end of January 2024. Any amount towards the increased cost of our energy
bill will obviously be very welcome. If you are a tax payer we are able to claim the tax back
which will increase the value of your gift.
Thank you very much – PCC of All Saints Childwall
Please put these dates in your diary for 2024 for Tea@2
Whitechapel Centre Liverpool
On behalf of The Whitechapel Centre I would like to thank you for the recent donation of
£392.00 from All Saints Church. We are very grateful to you for thinking of us and our clients,
your donation really does make a difference.
The Whitechapel Centre is the leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region.
We work with people who are rough sleeping, living in hostels or struggling to manage their
accommodation. We are committed to help people find and maintain a home and learn the
life skills essential for independent living.
Last year we supported 4,368 people in Liverpool who were experiencing homelessness – an
increase of 15% on the previous year. It’s only thanks to the generosity of supporters like you
that we’re able to continue our life-changing, life-saving work.
We believe prevention is the first step in the fight against homelessness. We aim to offer
support in housing at every step of the journey of homelessness, from the moment a person is
at risk of losing their home, right through to those who have become entrenched in a ‘street
lifestyle’. With this in mind, we also prevented 1,761 individuals from becoming homeless
thanks to interventions for those at risk including drop-in advice sessions, benefits advice and
personal negotiation with landlords and agencies. We supported a further 2,023 homeless
people into the right accommodation for their needs. We also ensured 259 people had access
to education and employment activities to enable them to continue to live independently.
Because of your support and generosity our vital services remain open to all, operating 24
hours a day, 365 days a year, a 24hr public helpline (0300 123 2041), and dedicated Street
Outreach Teams.
We know that there are so many more people in Liverpool who still need our help, and, with
your ongoing support, we’ll continue to offer help to anyone who needs it. Thank you.
Kind regards Sandy Clarke, Whitechapel Centre
